BECOMING ARCHITECTURES

"Becoming Architectures" does not have a precise temporal placing. In April 2004 its activation was announced on the Eraarte’s web site and the following month the announcement was renewed.
In April, the space in which the exhibit took its evolutionary course presented itself to the public with empty walls. In May, the photography was wrapped up and laid on the ground, awaiting the arrival of the brackets necessary in order to be mounted on the walls. “Becoming Architectures” in June developed a more extensive outline of its course and defined its timeless characteristics in a brighter light. This is the month in which the studio became an integral part of the exhibit’s ethical structure which distinguished itself for its quality to develop itself without any kind of definite timeline, but by following its own ethical identity in which the temporal succession was not articulated nor dominated by a common sense of time. In this case, the becoming does not have characteristics of a chronological succession, but expresses the consciousness of the possibility to interact with the atemporal presence of fragments that float in the space of our intuition of existence rather than that of mere things.
